The roles and responsibilities of the Commercial Director – VE Gases

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Commercial Director – VE Gases is a high-level executive tasked with leading the strategic business unit, VE Gases, by overseeing Gas production, sales and marketing, identifying new market opportunities, determining the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer/client satisfaction, and directing marketing operations. He is the main link between Feruka production plant site and Head Office responsible for all areas of site management including among others, plant and production, administration, human resources and finance to fulfil set targets and company mandate.

Qualifications and Attributes

A commercial degree or equivalent qualification from a reputable institution
MBA/MBL/Msc.in Strategic Management is a must.
Must have at least 5 years’ experience working for a commercial entity at managerial level.
Must demonstrate Project management, negotiation, marketing research, sales and marketing skills
The candidate must be registered with a relevant Professional Board.
He/She must be; decisive, creative, initiative, highly motivated, flexible, a team player, analytical, able to work to tight deadlines, possessing good communication, interpersonal, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
