BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

The roles and responsibilities

  • Sourcing Investors: Identify, research, and prepare briefs on potential investors aligned with company strategies.
  • Developing Partnerships: Initiate discussions, convene meetings, and propose mutually beneficial collaboration structures.
  • Structuring Deals: Liaise with departments, prepare business briefs, and draft term sheets for management review.
  • Bid Management: Search for relevant tender opportunities, facilitate bid construction, and coordinate with departments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct satisfaction surveys, analyze feedback, and present results to management.
  • Client Outreach: Engage potential clients through calls, emails, and meetings to generate interest in company products and services.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to support strategic decision-making

  • Contract and bid management
  • Business development initiatives
  • Lead generation and conversion

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Negotiation and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities
  • Creativity, flexibility, and critical thinking
  • Basic computer literacy
