1.0 FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER X 1 (MUTARE)
The roles and responsibilities
- KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage site revenue and expenditure by ensuring funds are allocated and used for agreed priorities, providing financial information for management planning and monitoring, preparing financial statements, budgets and reports (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and participating in financial audits.Implementing financial and admin policies and system as per company policiesEnsure full tax compliance and statutory reporting by preparing and reviewing VAT input and output schedules, performing monthly VAT reconciliations between accounting records and tax returns, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of VAT returns and other statutory obligations in line with regulatory requirementsMonitor and manage tax processes and compliance risks by maintaining proper supporting documentation for all tax filings, resolving discrepancies with relevant authorities and keeping abreast of changes in tax legislation to ensure continuous compliance and inform management decisionsManage stock and inventory by conducting monthly/quarterly depot stock counts and produce stock valuation reportsFinancial analysis and recommendations by analyzing financial trends and provide budgeting recommendationsProvide stakeholder management and customer service by responding to finance-related inquiries from departments or clientsPlan and coordinate site visits events and handling communicationsSupervise administrative functions by;Ensuring adequate office supplies
- Scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms
- Facilitate maintenance of buildings, structures and systems
- Implementing waste disposal and recycling programs
- Tracking rentals and administering leases and agreements
- Monitor canteen operations (food collection, catering, cleaning)
- Ensure cleanliness of offices, lab, plant area and restrooms
- Oversee ground maintenance by general workers
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of ERP system is an added advantage
- High accuracy level
- Highly organized individual with basic computer skills
- Effective oral and written commutation skills
- Drivers licence
